KHAYTOVYCH À.Â. Microbiologycal characteristic of vibrions, organized and methodical approaches for its practical using. - Thesis for a doctor's degree by speciality 03.00.07 - Microbyology - Microbyology National medical University, Kyiv, 1998. (in Ukrainian) PDF Document (2,51 MB)
Abstract. The dissertation is devoted to design of complex estimation of V. cholerae's O1 different microbyological properties. A new direction in microbyology is elaborated which based on the complex estimation of V. cholerae's Î1 biological characteristics in time, ecologycal and territorial aspects, use this facts for monitoring. The spread of Ukraine, their phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, separation and determination of V. cholerae Î1 in Ukraine, their phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, epidemiologycal importance of reservoirs based on detection of uncultural forms, properties of halophilic vibrion's phug's, estimation of different methods of detection the virulence are established. The new methods for creation of the standart test-systems for vibrions' identification, diagnostic preparations, priciples of laboratories' organization in routine work and for mass investigations are proposed. Their high effectiveness is stated by using of theoretical investigations and reinforced by illustrative examples. The main results of work have found the practical and scientific utility in laboratories for diagnostic of different kings of pathogenic vibrions.
Key words: pathogenic vibrions, microbyological properties, laboratory diagnostic, identification, virulence.

Abstract. The dissertation is devoted to improvement of control measures for cholera at the present time in Ukraine. The basic manifestations and the characteristic of epidemic process of cholera in Ukraine during the seventh pandemic are established. It is certain mainly outbreak character of cholera morbidity and an opportunity of nosocomial cholera infection during outbreaks in the closed medical establishments with a contact way of transmission. The researches results of environment objects showed vibrios of a cholera circulated in environment simultaneously with cholera disease cases. The epidemic importance of cholera vibrios Î1 is analysed by results of definition of ctx, tcp and a toxR virulence genes. In view of last scientific data about a cholera as anthroponozic and sapronozic infection some optimum abiotic parameters of cholera vibrios Î1 preservation are determined, and different conditions of toxicogenic and not toxicogenic strains survival are established. By means of electronic mapping (ArcGIS program) dependence between intensity of epidemic process and belonging to ecological region is defined. It is determined that the territory with a great risk of cholera outbreaks occurrence is «pontic» ecological region. According to it, criteria of an estimation of territories division on types of epidemic manifestation of cholera are specified. Approaches to amount of research works and the list of research objects are scientifically proved, and offers concerning improvement of existing monitoring for cholera in Ukraine are given.
Key words: a cholera, Vibrio cholerae, epidemic process, ecological features, climatic and geographical conditions, monitoring.
